Gissele: Before we start this very special Halloween episode, I wanted to share something that happened after we had done recording. In the interview Angel Morgan talks about how sometimes her haunted items can mess with things. And the interview went quite fine. We heard everything.
There was no issues. And so I kinda forgot about it until I… it was time to retrieve her interview, and then my whole interview was recorded, but hers was only 19 seconds. And I got this warning from Descript that said that there was no audio. And but it seemed to have captured everything else.
And so I was in a real panic because I’m like, “Oh, I wonder if this is the haunted item playing with us.” And so I email Morgan, and I say, “Hey, I only have 10 seconds of your interview. It seems to have caught everything from me, but for you there was nothing. maybe ’cause you took your device in and out, like your your headphones.”
And she’s “I’ve done that many times. I don’t even know why that would be an issue.” And I said to her I just kept I- asking your item to [00:01:00] return it to please return it.” And she said, no wonder after we had left the interview, she could hear laughter from the item, that it had played some sort of joke, but I didn’t know what it was.
Good news is that I kept asking for it to be returned, and I eventually found it As I dug into SquadCast at the back, sometimes it records backups. And so I have the full backup. But in, in the moment, it was very scary ’cause I only had seconds of it, and it was… I was very surprised ’cause that hadn’t happened to me before.
Anyways, this interview is full of surprises and full of Halloween delight. Please enjoy.

Gissele: Today, we have a very special Halloween episode. We are talking about haunted items. We are talking about all things Halloween, vampires- Yes … [00:02:00] werewolves, everything. And I have a special guest today. She is back. She is back. With nearly three decades of experience, Angel Morgan is a seasoned media clairvoyant, animal communicator, and paranormal investigator.
Gissele: Driven by a deep fascination with global cultures and history, her travels have taken her across the globe, uncovering the magic woven into the different cultures and the silent wisdom of the animal kingdom. Please join me in welcoming Angel Morgan. Hi.
Angel Morgan: Hi. How are you? Hello,
Gissele: hello.
Gissele: Good. I’m so excited to have you back
Gissele: on the show. I love talking to you. And today, it’s a very special episode because I get to share some of the some of my family history that’s a little bit quirky that has to do with haunted items.
Angel Morgan: Love
Gissele: it. And my mom and I, she’s over, and we were talking about this last night. And so just a w- a word to everyone and, you’re wondering how this fits with love and compassion. To be honest, I have not loved that shadow side. I has I’ve always been really scared of ghosts and [00:03:00] apparitions and, like- Yeah
Gissele: not touching it with a 10-foot pole. And I think part of that fear really arose from some of the stuff my grandma would do when we were little kids. If I could- … share my story.
Angel Morgan: Please.
Gissele: So when we were little kids, and I’m so curious as to what your response will be and what you’re feeling about this.
Gissele: So when we were little kidsMy grandma had a little house that housed a skull- Okay … and the skull had a veil on top, and it was a little house. A, a
Angel Morgan: human skull? A human skull?
Gissele: It was a human skull.
Angel Morgan: Okay. All right.
Gissele: Yes. And i- this is in Peru, so it’s not in Canada or North America- yeah
Gissele: or anything.
Angel Morgan: Which is very cultural.
Gissele: Y- yes. And if we thought it was, like, fake. In the beginning, we were like, “Oh, it must be fake. It can’t…” Until one day, we decided to sneak in, open up the little door, and we saw an actual skull with a veil on. It was very freaky. And we asked my grandma and my mother about the history, and my uncle apparently had picked up the skull in a cemetery.
Gissele: I don’t know why you would just pick up some random skull. ‘
Angel Morgan: [00:04:00] Cause it’s
Gissele: cool. And- ‘
Angel Morgan: Cause it’s cool. O- okay. Why not?
Gissele: Because it’s cool, yeah. So he takes it home, decides to make a little house of it.
Gissele: And would actually… And he knew it was a woman. We had no idea how he knew it was a woman. And he would give it offerings, and this went from my uncle to my grandma, and from my grandma to the, my great-grandma to my grandma. And he would put, offerings on it. And when it came to my grandma’s house this is how we used to freak us out. So when it came to my grandma’s house, the neighbors would actually say that in the room where she was housed, at night sometimes there, there was a woman with a black veil who would look out the window, and they…
Gissele: Everybody thought it was my great-grandma. My great-grandma wasn’t living with my grandma at the time. So it was… We thought it was the lady, right? And here’s the scarier part of the story. So my, my great-uncle, I guess you would call him, would, we used to put money and ask for wishes.
Gissele: So he would say to [00:05:00] her- … “can I have this? Can I have that?” And the other. Yeah. And apparently according to the family, the wishes would come true. And and then he one day decided to steal from her. Ooh. He decided to steal the money. Yes. Oh. And so the story goes, and my mom 100% believes this, and she doesn’t believe in anything mystical.
Angel Morgan: And she, and he… Wait, he stole from the skull?
Gissele: He stole from the skull- Oh … all the money that he had asked as an offering. Bad move. Yes. Bad move. And so at night, I guess my mom must have been there when he was there. I guess he woke up screaming because he was getting pulled by the feet by her.
Angel Morgan: Yeah.
Gissele: And then the next day he put the money back.
Angel Morgan: So here he invites this woman into his home. Says, “I will give you everything-
…
Angel Morgan: If you work with me.”
Gissele: Yes.
Angel Morgan: And then he steals from her. I’d be upset too.
Gissele: Yeah.
Angel Morgan: I would be upset too. So in many cultures- Offerings are very every day. That’s part of the culture.
Angel Morgan: When [00:06:00] we are filming this, I have just come back from New Orleans, and if you go to even restaurants, certain restaurants, they have altars set up, and the altars… Yeah, the stores and the restaurants. There’s a place called Potions where it’s a vampire club, and there are two, one for travel and one for the god of the dogs, which is really interesting, Anubis.
Angel Morgan: And so you can go and make your offering to wish for whatever you need to help f- help you in your life. Now, human skulls are a little bit different, okay? Because usually they use effigies, right? So statues of certain deities or what have in different cultures. But with skulls are unique because…
Angel Morgan: or human skulls, or any skull, but human skulls, because without the jaw, it will enhance your abilities. But when you put the jaw on, you can now speak to the other side. And when you bring a skull into your home You are [00:07:00] asking it, I ask the skulls “Do you wanna work with me or do you want release?
Angel Morgan: If you want release I’ma leave you there.” I usually ask- Yeah … when I find a skull, right? I find a skull and I go, “Okay, do you wanna come home with me or don’t you? If you come home with me, you can stay.” Or, “I’ll release you and I can at least have the skull ’cause it’s really cool.” Yeah. In this particular case, this is a cultural thing where in Peru they would even on my mesa, which is like a traveling altar which was given to me by medicine people in Peru, I have a crystal skull.
Angel Morgan: I have a small crystal skull, and the skull is considered the gateway to the other world, where you can speak, you can… They’re the messengers. They take your messages to the gods. Oh. Yeah. So this is what he was doing. He was saying, “Here, I’m gonna give you money. I’m gonna give you candy. I’m gonna give you a cigar.
Angel Morgan: I’m gonna give you stuff, and in return this is what I would like.” And what happens with the money, what happens with the stuff you put on the altar, the theory is that the spirit will take the [00:08:00] spirit of that thing, right? In Peru, in the Aztec culture, in the Mayan culture, the Toltecs, which was a very ancient culture, they believed everything had a spirit.
Angel Morgan: So when we give offerings, when we do spirit dinners, right? We put a plate out of food for our ancestors when we eat. What’s happening is a spirit will come and take the spirit, the ghost will come and take the spirit of whatever that is, then you can do whatever you want. So in this particular case when he took the money, that’s insulting.
Angel Morgan: ” Dude, I’m working for you and you’re stealing from me?” I’m surprised more didn’t happen. I’m surprised she forgave him.
Gissele: Yeah, she did.
Angel Morgan: She’s created a relationship with him, right? This is one of the things that we do. In New Orleans there’s this great paranormal team, and they go to three different locations. That’s all they do. They go to these three different locations with what they call an SLS camera, where it picks up spirits.
Angel Morgan: And they’ve created, they’ve been there so long, they’ve created relationships with these spirits that whenever they want them to come out, they come out. They leave them offerings, they take care of them, they [00:09:00] protect them, they tell their story. And in doing that they’ve created these really tight bonds, which is what your uncle was doing.
Angel Morgan: I have my altar. I have very tight bonds with different spirits. I, in fact, have a human skull. Now, in that day and age, it, they were readily available. You could go to cemeteries and they would be there. And one of the reasons is because of the depth at which we were, burying people, sometimes they were ancient skulls, sometimes, they were, grave robbers, things like that.
Angel Morgan: Just things that got… they’re there. You can get them. Now, it will cost you thousands of dollars for that, and it w- they usual be, will be anatomical research or university university items that have been retired. So Harriet, my skull, she belonged to a university, and when she came to me, she was a gift that came to me.
Angel Morgan: We collect them, so for me it was appropriate because I’m like, “Okay, you know what? If anybody is gonna take care of you and work with you and keep you [00:10:00] alive, it’s gonna be me,” right? Because she’s- … a working skull. She was there to help, to heal, to be of service. So that’s what she does with me.
Angel Morgan: We have animal skulls in my home. We have giraffes and zebras and elephants, and I’m an animal communicator. I couldn’t have landed in a better family. And I will ask my animals, I will say, “Hey, listen, do you wanna be here or don’t you?” However, creep factor, yeah. You walk downstairs and you can feel them.
Angel Morgan: During the day, it’s like, “Good morning. Good morning. You guys are so awesome. I’m gonna do ceremony.” At night it’s like, “Oh, dude.” It’s like being in the jungle. So it is. And my home is a bit creepy too because we have a haunted items room, right? So our haunted items room is filled with different energies from different spaces, high energies and low energies.
Angel Morgan: What you ha- what your grandmother had in your home, although it felt scary, was actually a higher energy because it loved you, it helped you, it helped the family. And I’m sure it goes even deeper than that because I don’t necessarily know all of the mythologies around skull work. But the reality is that one of the things that the [00:11:00] medicine people from Peru taught me was that never trust your eyes.
Angel Morgan: We have been conditioned to believe that these things are really scary, not realizing that they’re there to help us, right? I remember being at a Peruvian wedding And everybody’s taking pictures, and in the smoke, in the palo santo, in the sage and all that stuff we’re seeing these figures and these faces that are clear as day, and they look like demons.
Angel Morgan: And everyone’s like, oh my God.” Now, this was in Canada. They had come here. Yeah. And they’re just like, “Oh my God, you guys are so North American.” And we’re like, “What?” Yeah. And they’re like, “Yeah, these are the apus of the mountains. These are the angels. They’re not going to look beautiful.
Angel Morgan: These spirits are there to help the animals, right? They live under the trees with the grubs. They, they do all of that. You’ll have to excuse me. My dog just came in to say hello. Hi, good morning.
Angel Morgan: I love you. So this is something that is very culturally ingrained in us and conditioned in us that we are to [00:12:00] be scared of these things, right?
Angel Morgan: But the reality is the spirit world is not there to scare us, for the most part, which is where Halloween comes in, right? Yeah. So yeah. So this is probably what was happening with your family, that this spirit became a family spirit and started
Angel Morgan: helping.
Gissele: Yeah, and it’s so fascinating, so thank you for mentioning.
Gissele: For those of you who may be new to the podcast, I am from Peru.
Angel Morgan: my mom and I were talking about how people in Peru, like really poor people who can’t afford to be buried, they will end up in this pit, right? Yeah. And there’s people that, would walk around the pits and then you would see skulls and you would see things, right?
Gissele: And-
Angel Morgan: Yeah …
Gissele: I thought it would be illegal to pick up, but I guess only in
Angel Morgan: North America
Gissele: you have to-
Angel Morgan: It is now. It is now, right? Yeah. But back then there were no regulatory laws. In England there were grave robbers who would rob graves to give bodies to the university for classes and things like that, and nobody even, batted an eye-
Angel Morgan: And they would pay them. They would actually pay these grave [00:13:00] robbers to go get them bodies. So again, different era, different time, different way of being. Now, totally illegal. Yeah. Totally.
Gissele: in fact, it’s now illegal to even sell these things.
Angel Morgan: You can’t sell taxidermy in Canada. You can’t have these things. The regulatory bodies have really tightened down- … on that.
Gissele: Yeah, it’s interesting that you mention that because I knew someone who had a pet that had passed away.
Gissele: And in… I think it was in the US, and they wouldn’t let her take the body home.
Gissele: The, the… Yeah, and And for some reason she had to pay for them to g- to do… I guess she had it cremated. Yeah. Whereas here we were allowed to take our dog home. Yes. ‘Cause I’m like, “I don’t want it just cremated.” We actually buried it in our backyard, which- Yeah … he would’ve wanted, But it’s sorta interesting.
Angel Morgan: With my cat, when she passed away, we brought her home. We did ceremony over her, and then took her back, and they were totally cool with that. So that kinda blows my mind that they wouldn’t let you bring him home.
Gissele: Yeah.
Angel Morgan: Yeah.
Gissele: So it’s so interesting that we have [00:14:00] this family history that we’re chatting about, right? ‘Cause w- as kids we were like… I was terrified of anything. Now, granted, I was exposed to The Exorcist at age six, so-
Angel Morgan: Wait, what? Okay, tell me that story.
Gissele: Oh my God. I’m the youngest out of my cousins on my dad’s side, and so we’ve got all the way up to…
Gissele: Like, when I was six we had all the way up to being, like, 20s, and so we were all at this sort of camp away. We were all kinda housed together, right? And so we got the 20-year-olds, we got the six-year-olds, we got everybody together kinda playing together. I have a lot of cousins that are close to my age, and so- Yeah
Gissele: and I have cousins that are older. They all decided that we were all gonna watch a movie together, and the movie they picked was The Exorcist.
Angel Morgan: Of
Gissele: course. And as a six-year-old- … and the worst… Here’s the worst part. Here’s the worst part of that movie. I’ve never been able… I’ve only been able to watch it once since at a, as a…
Gissele: I don’t wanna be afraid of anything, so I watched it, but it was not great. After the movie, my cousins decide to tell m- six-year-old me that they knew somebody who that happened to.
Angel Morgan: [00:15:00] Oh, no.
Gissele: Yes. Yes. And I was like, “Oh my God, that can happen?” And I was so- Wow … terrified.
Gissele: I’ve seen lots of different movies. I’ve never been… Like, really only one time at a dare I saw parts of it. I just couldn’t. It’s awful.
Angel Morgan: Now it’s funny because I have my own podcast. You know that, Creature Code Podcast. Yes. And just- Of course … recently, because I was going to New Orleans to the Paracon, we had a priest on.
Angel Morgan: And he is called the Paranormal Padre. And even though he’s not considered an exorcist he has witnessed exorcisms. And one of the things that we did talk about was what his favorite movies were, and one of them was actually The Exorcist because he said that is the closest- to what it is really and I kinda went, “Oh, okay.” And so y- we have to remember that there are things we haven’t seen, that we haven’t been exposed to, but the, the priest himself, Father Bailey said himself the odds of actually [00:16:00] witnessing or having something like that happen is so rare that even an actual exorcist priest may encounter something that real, that big, that huge once in their career.
Angel Morgan: Okay? Wow. Okay. Now, in the United States, every state has an exorcist priest. New Orleans alone has three So there are places, Yeah, that, … in the world where these kinds of energies exist more than others. And not necessarily, full-blown, but where there is light, there is dark.
Angel Morgan: And not to frighten you or anything. Sorry, your six-year-old you. Six-year-old me is like, “No.” But the reality is these… Yeah, exactly. These things do exist. And art imitates life, and I truly believe that, i’ve seen things in movies that just make me go, “Wow, that, that actually is really accurate.
Angel Morgan: I really like that.” In fact, I have a movie channel right now. We d- we opened it for fun on YouTube, and we [00:17:00] are reviewing the magic and the haunt and all that stuff that is actually the authenticity of it, right? We’re reviewing the movie, but how authentic, because I have that knowledge. And and it’s just, it’s a lot of fun, right?
Angel Morgan: It’s a lot- Yeah … because some films are really good at it, and some are just so bad. Yeah. So campy.
Gissele: Yeah.
Gissele: What helped you be so open to and not afraid of things that seem kinda dark?
Angel Morgan: Honestly, I think we’re born that way. I think p- some people are born with certain capabilities.
Angel Morgan: Like a doctor or a lawyer, they have their tendencies towards that. They have they’re born and inbred having that detachment or having that ability to be compassionate or what have you. It just happens that I was born this way. And I think it helped that I grew up in a home that I now understand to have been haunted.
Angel Morgan: Because I didn’t then when I was a kid. I used to sleep and there was this closet, and it had slats. It wasn’t like a [00:18:00] door. It had slats, and I could see things through the slats. And I trained myself to, because it’s gonna work, put the blanket over my head with a little hole, ’cause that’s gonna, protect me from everything that’s dark.
Angel Morgan: Familiar. Right? That’s right. And when I was very little… Yeah, exactly. When I was very little, I used to have these experiences. The unfortunate part, though, was that my family, especially my mom, was very, “You don’t talk about this kinda stuff unless it’s with the family and you’re having fun about it.”
Angel Morgan: So when I saw my great aunt- in the in-between place, I was waking up and she was standing beside this tree that I now know to be the tree of life. And she was showing me she had died. And my mom came up the stairs and she goes your great Auntie Mary died.” And this woman had raised her. And I said I said, “I know.”
Angel Morgan: And she goes, “What do you mean you know?” And I said I just saw her.” And she goes, “You didn’t see anything. You don’t know anything.” And that was really confusing. So as my calling progressed, as I stepped further into this path, one of my main things is to help [00:19:00] families with kids who are intuitive, right?
Angel Morgan: Kids who are experiencing things. Young people who are going through this, and I’ve had many young people who, are bombarded by spirits, who see them, who don’t know what to do with it. But we’re in a more open time now, so it’s actually easier to be someone like me than it was even 10 years ago.
Angel Morgan: Yeah. And I’ve always had an affection towards the dark side. My room, the entire wall was filled with horror movies. And my dad, I remember my dad walking in, looking and going, “Huh ” Okay.” And he’d walk away. But he would encourage it. So he didn’t help the cause any. But yeah, that’s, I I’ve always been this way.
Angel Morgan: I’ve always been… when I was little, the books that I would secret into my home or smuggle into my home were about the, the witches, and the history of the witches, and werewolves, and vampires. And it wasn’t enough for me to be interested in the novels. I had to know are they real?
Angel Morgan: Does this exist? And even today, [00:20:00] I’m a magical folklorist. I’m a historian, and I love this kind of stuff. And I surround myself with people who are incredibly informed and who walk their paths solidly.
Gissele: Since you mentioned it, can we talk about it? Are vampires real?
Angel Morgan: So- Are
Gissele: werewolves
real?
Angel Morgan: … This is a really cool thing. As an animal communicator, because I’m so connected to animals, I can feel that vibe. So I walk into the conference, and there’s this guy there, tall, slender, young, really handsome, really beautiful. But there’s this energy about him, and this actually happened.
Angel Morgan: And I’m just like, “There’s something about…” So all weekend I’m like, there’s something about this particular guy that’s exuding something animalistic, but I can’t understand that. And some people have that vibe, right? Not like him. It was familiar to me, but I didn’t understand how. So one night Father Sebastian, who is of the vampire clans, was holding a ceremony.
Angel Morgan: And this was a beautiful ceremony, and I was invited. And so I went to this ceremony, and he started introducing [00:21:00] people, and he introduced this young man as a rougarou. A rougarou is a type of werewolf. And so in Canada, we actually have that. There’s a huge thing about… I’m only learning about them, so unfortunately I’m not as versed as I’d like to be.
Angel Morgan: That’s a whole episode in and of itself. Yeah. Yeah. But I… As soon as he said that, I just went, “Oh my God, that’s what it is.” And I looked at him and said, “Thank you for being here.” And he goes, “What?” And I said, “Thank you.” I said, “Now I fully understand what I felt.” Because we have another friend who is werewolf that I met two years ago, two, two years prior who owns a store down there called Hands of Fate, and he’s one of the owners.
Angel Morgan: And I remember walking in and seeing Brick, and I’m like, I’m staring at his gold eyes. And he goes, “Yeah, they’re real.” And I’m like, “Oh my God, I’m so sorry.” And his lineage goes back, and back. So do they exist? Absolutely. I don’t care if people think I’m crazy. With the stuff I’ve seen over 30 years, I wear crazy like a badge.
Angel Morgan: I’m [00:22:00] okay with that. You have your belief system, I have my experiences. In New Orleans also, I was very privileged in meeting the different cultures. So there’s the voodoo culture, the witching culture, the psychic culture, the paranormal culture, and the vampire culture. And the Paracon, to the to the credit of the people who created it, Jen and Chris, that was what they wanted.
Angel Morgan: They wanted everybody under one roof because there’s a lot of politics in New Orleans. There’s a lot of, gotta be careful of this person, don’t wanna offend this person, this is happening, that’s happening. And so h- I don’t know how they did it, but they did it and it was the most beautiful weekend I think I’ve ever had.
Angel Morgan: And they’re actually doing another one in 2027 and it’s amazing. Th- we opened the entire Paracon with a voodoo ceremony where they were playing the drums and they were calling in, and even throughout that weekend, I was doing animal readings, and the accuracy was outstanding, the things I saw and felt and di- because we created [00:23:00] space, right?
Angel Morgan: The vampires did a panel that I’m not sure you can see it online, but you can see parts of it, and they talk about their their particular lifestyle. And there are ones who drink blood, there are ones who are energy vampires, and there are ones who are spiritual vampires. And then I found out too, which is really neat, that you can align with cultures, but you don’t have to be part of it.
Angel Morgan: So one of the heads of the, the covens there which she’s wonderfully beautiful, she actually aligns with them, so they’re allies. And the, there is the voodoo culture, and they’re amazing, and they’re not what people think. Thank you Hollywood for bastardizing that.
Angel Morgan: But the reality is- You can ask that … yeah, th- they are. I was talking to- Yes … someone who’s there. I was really geeking out on this guy for three years. He was a foot guide, and I met him, and he’s like, “No, come on one of my tours,” whenever, so I did. And one of the things I knew that he validated were voodoo dolls are…
Angel Morgan: They were not… They were originally [00:24:00] meant to be medical charts. So what would happen is somebody would come to the healer, right? On plantation, they’re slaves, they’re not allowed to do a lot, so they go, “Yes, I have a headache,” right? So they have a pin, and they go, “Okay, here, we’re gonna put this in,” they give you the herbs, give you that, whatever.
Angel Morgan: They come back two weeks later, and they go, “Okay, take your doll,” and they kinda go, “Oh okay. You had a headache. How’s your headache?” “Oh, okay.” “It’s not getting better. We’re gonna put two pins in there and we’ll see what else we can do.” This is week two, right? So voodoo dolls were originally- Wow
Angel Morgan: a chart Okay? Poppets are European. They are like voodoo dolls.
Angel Morgan: You want dark? Let’s go there.
Angel Morgan: They also were used as charts to begin with. However, again, Hollywood bastardizing it, but we have a saying in Europe. In Europe, the hand that heals can also harm, the hand that harms can also heal. So it’s in the hands of practitioner.
Angel Morgan: So if I have a dolly, there’s nothing saying I can’t use it that way. It’s just to put that fully on a culture and make them responsible for that, [00:25:00] that’s just unfair. It is unfair. And this culture, voodoo is the religion. Hoodoo is the root work. That’s the stuff you see them making the sachets, and you make them, making all these things that are for healing purposes, right?
Angel Morgan: For protection. I’m not a, a big pretender in, oh, you have to do this, and you have to do that. But even I wear stuff. Even I have, I have my little molocule. This is a really cool little piece. On my way… Whenever I go to New Orleans, magic happens everywhere.
Angel Morgan: Beauty happens everywhere. And I’m going to introduce you to her, but she is one of compassion that I have. She’s a haunted doll. And I noticed that when I adopted her in New Orleans, first doll I’ve ever adopted I was going through security, and I saw this woman, and this was so gorgeous. It was on her.
Angel Morgan: It was just so gorgeous. I had to say something. I go through security, and she comes up to me, and she goes, “I have something for you.” And she takes it off in front of everybody, and she puts it on me. Wow. And I was emotional. Yeah. I’ve [00:26:00] done that for people. No one’s ever done that for me. She was this beautiful woman.
Angel Morgan: And I’m like, “Wow that’s incred-” And I haven’t taken it off since. So to me, this is even more protective than my evil eye. Why? Because it came from a place of love. Because it came from a place of compassion. She saw how I felt. This protects me. This is a Hamsa hand, right? These are the five points of protection, right?
Angel Morgan: And again, huge history around that. You could do a whole show about it. But this is also very protective. Different cultures have different ways of protecting. So these are two pieces, and this piece came from, my dear heart Sophia, who’s my assistant, my friend, my, my everything. And she gave me that.
Angel Morgan: So again, a strega, an Italian witch who put that through ceremony for me Yeah, she’s family. So these things hold a lot of power. Now, here’s the thing. Curses, hexes, jinxes, right? These things only hold power if you [00:27:00] give it to them. So let’s go to the Peruvian culture, let’s go to the Maltese culture, let’s go to the Italian culture, let’s go to the Greek culture, let’s go to a lot of cultures.
Angel Morgan: “I’ve been cursed. I’ve been hexed. Somebody’s put something on my…” Yeah, okay, they might have thrown something at you or tried to throw something, but how, to what degree it affects you can be what you give it Okay? So we need to understand that too.
Gissele: Yeah. And I love that you said that. Not only is it increasing the compassion and appreciation of- Yes
Gissele: different cultures in terms of voodoo and some and some of the misconceptions, but also I think people fail to understand how often we curse people just with our thoughts, just without- Yes … thinking in terms of screw them, or we are sending constantly positive and negative- Words
Gissele: thoughts to people in words as well. Thank you for mentioning that. And so you think that a curse is gonna be something, but like- Yeah … what are you thinking about people? What are you saying about people? Yeah. And how are you thinking negatively? And that can impact them if they accept it, like you mentioned.
Angel Morgan: I agree with that. And the reality is [00:28:00] jinxes and hexes are more the little things. When you say to someone, when you say, “Oh, that, that kid just drives me nuts and is a cr- what a g- curse upon you. A, a pox upon you,” those are hexes and jinxes. Curses are much heavier. This is when somebody’s going to their altar, they’re calling on the gods.
Angel Morgan: This could be a lineage thing. But again, to what degree it affects you is up to you. And if you are learned enough or you know what’s going on, you can go to people like myself, like the people… I always say to people, “If I can’t do it, I have tribes of people that I can send you to that, that will help you.”
Angel Morgan: I find that a lot of psychics, they just do psychic work. A lot of witches just do witch work. A lot of healers just do… I am very fortunate in that I get to, to play on all of those different cultures and have people that I respect, that respect me, because it’s about helping and healing, right? And it’s funny because I’m a Gemini, so I don’t find myself necessarily the most compassionate person because we do have a sense of detachment.
Angel Morgan: [00:29:00] But recently, I… like I was saying earlier, I adopted this haunted doll, and I’ve never done that. Usually they’re gifted to me. And she’s just amazing because she is love and compassion. She literally is. I got her and I just, I couldn’t stop holding her. When people hold her, they just don’t wanna stop holding her.
Angel Morgan: And her story is that she loves people who pray, who invoke. She takes the sadness from you. She takes that. And she’s… this is actually one of the first times I’ve ever shown her. So she is my dear heart, and her name is Maya. And she is… And one of the reasons I took her, though, I have to tell you, one of the reasons I did adopt her, I realized this later, is I have such an affection towards Anne Rice’s vampire, Interview with a Vampire.
Angel Morgan: And Lestat. The TV show I think has done great. Ah, so good. And the character of Claudia, their daughter. She just reminds me of Claudia, right? Yeah. And I love that. Yeah. I love that. So whenever I hold her, like even now, my sense of love goes up. So people need to understand, and that’s part of [00:30:00] me as an educator, they need to understand that not every item is dark.
Angel Morgan: Not every haunted item is dark. And people will ask me too what makes an item haunted?
Gissele: Yeah.
Angel Morgan: How does it
Gissele: become haunted?
Angel Morgan: Yeah. So sometimes it’s tragedy. You have somebody who passes away, it’s the last thing that their eye falls on, so it becomes an anchor for them, and they embody that.
Angel Morgan: Annabelle, really good e- example of that. Yeah. This is a child who, was really rotten, that kind of thing, died, and the doll was there apparently. And that’s how it jumped. That’s one of the stories I’ve heard. There’s so many stories with Annabelle. But there are, are other ways too.
Angel Morgan: Sometimes it becomes a prison where someone has encased a demon or a lower energy or entity. A spirit that’s wandering needs something to hold onto. This is the something that it found that it vibrates to what their life was. I was working on a case where there was a little boy who had passed away.
Angel Morgan: The family died in a fire. He passed away later in an orphanage. He didn’t [00:31:00] know what to do. His soul was wandering, and he had a best friend at the orphanage, and she had a doll. So she wa- he wanted to stay with her, so he imbued the doll, and they were friends until she was very old. And she actually gave it to her granddaughter, and this doll has been passed down and passed down so that he always has a friend.
Angel Morgan: Now, my thinking is, okay, maybe we should release the, the spirit- yeah … to its family. And I did. I asked the spirit, I said, “Do you wanna leave?” And he goes, “No. You know what? I really like who I’m with.” But the family themselves is now a witching family. That’s what it’s come down to.
Angel Morgan: So they have already said that when she gets older, he, she’s going to be the last and she will then release him, which is great. So some of these dolls have huge histories. One of the items that I have, that I’m just gonna grab, one second, I will grab it This item not so happy. I am not apt, and please don’t judge me I am not apt to purchase items like this or acquire items like this, but I really had some sort of connection to it.[00:32:00]
Angel Morgan: And it’s from the 1600s Scotland and it’s actually a torture device. And this particular device was probably used in many different ways. And I’m not gonna get into it because it’s just, you let your imagination wander. Yes. But what’s really interesting… Now, this is a bound object.
Angel Morgan: So this object has a binding around it so it can’t do harm. It can’t do anything. Why? Because, and oddly enough, that’s funny, my dog came in this morning, now that I’m thinking of it. Because I was… When I first got it, what I do is I will sit with the object to see if it’s haunted, to really haunt it.
Angel Morgan: Are you really haunted? Can you really do something? Yeah. And so I opened myself up to this object, and very first thing that happened was I was angry. I was sick to my stomach. I was enraged. I could see, I could hear the screaming. But what’s really interesting is my two dogs were at the end of our bed, and the golden doodle, who actually was the one who came in the office this morning, funny enough, she sat up and she started [00:33:00] growling.
Angel Morgan: Now, when that happens, the second one usually gets up because it follows the doodle. This one stayed asleep, and it started having nightmares. And I’m like, “Okay, this is not good.” So I’m like, “Okay, I need to bind it. I need to detach from it.” And that’s what I did. I bound it and I detached. Most things that I do are energetic.
Angel Morgan: I don’t need herbs. I don’t need oils. I don’t need things. I do use them. And then this, so this piece is lives in my haunted items room and will stay there, right? And my haunted items room, because I have animals specifically is bound as well. So if you were to see it it’s not quite fully set up.
Angel Morgan: We had a flood. So irony, I think not. And we had to bind the room, right? So everything that goes in there is safe. In fact we have a children’s funerary carriage that was given to me. Wow. And when you sit with it, you can hear the children. Some of them are giggling, some of them are crying. But I thought because my family was w- they were [00:34:00] daycare workers, right?
Angel Morgan: It was all about kids. My mom, my sister, my aunts, my… So I thought, who better to honor this? Yeah. Who better to honor this piece? See, even as I sit here, I put that down and I’ve got a headache now ’cause I touched it.
Gissele: Yeah. Yeah.
Angel Morgan: So these items can cause havoc. These items, if you do not know what you’re playing with, can.
Angel Morgan: Now, there’s a trend that’s happening right now. You have psychics who are going into thrift stores and going, “That’s haunted. That’s not. That’s haunted. That’s not.” Yeah. Yeah. “That’s haunted.” I saw that on TikTok, yeah. That is such clickbait, it’s not ev- and funny. If a psychic somebody finds a haunted item, first of all, they’re gonna take it home because that is cooler than cool for us.
Angel Morgan: Okay? Yeah. Second of all, those particular items that are haunted, do you know how rare it is to find something like that?
Angel Morgan: You’re not gonna find 10 haunted items. You might find something with an attachment, right? Somebody, somebody had a desk and they passed away and their energy is on it.
Angel Morgan: That’s not haunted. So that’s, to me, that’s [00:35:00] clickbait. But that’s not to say I haven’t found haunted items in antique stores. I have. I have. I have one downstairs. He’s a little Mexican doll, and as soon as I walked in, I was just like, “What the he-” And I turn around and he’s- … sitting there, and I asked the owner, I said, “Where’d you get that?”
Angel Morgan: And she goes, “I don’t know. He just showed up.” Wow And I’m like, ” You’re coming home with me.” And sometimes, most times you find… Now I noticed you were talking about this, and all of a sudden you’re pixelated.
Angel Morgan: Oh,
Angel Morgan: really? Tech problems. And what did I say earlier about that one particular item, that may happen?
Angel Morgan: Yeah. So I also understand my objects. I take the time to create relationships with it. So I know that when that particular torture device is on the air, it’s gonna cause tech problems, so I always warn the host. I always tell them that, this is what might occur.
Angel Morgan: Because these are spirits. These are lives.
Gissele: Yeah. And so if somebody goes to a, a thrift store because they [00:36:00] love thrifting, how can they get clear it of the energy so that they don’t,
Angel Morgan: like- Love that question. Really simple. This is something for everybody out there who’s either listening or watching.
Angel Morgan: You place your hands on the object or you think about the object, and you can say, “I invoke the light of the God within. This object is a clear and perfect channel. Light is its guide.” Say it three times and then blow over the object. Okay. Now, in Peru, they actually believe, the medicine people, that everything begins on a life, everything ends on life, and everything in between is a life.
Angel Morgan: So you can cleanse with it. You can clear with it. They believe if you’re having a bad day… I saw my child do this once with his dad. His dad was having a bad day, and he goes over, because he… I used to teach him, and I had taught him this, that, when somebody’s having a bad day, they have a black cloud a black energy over them.
Angel Morgan: And you go over it, and just go like that, and it goes away, right? And he went over to his dad, and he saw him. He was really down or whatever. And he goes over, and he c- climbs… He was, like, maybe six, and he climbs up on [00:37:00] the chair. And he goes… And his father looked at me. He started laughing. And he looks at me, and Joseph looks at me, and he goes, “Mommy, it worked.”
Angel Morgan: Oh, that’s good. And it was such a beautiful moment. So when we breathe, that actually helps to cleanse and clear, and that’s very powerful because it’s coming from us. You can use that with God three times, or you can use God, Goddess, great creator, because that’s balanced. If you go to my website, raisingenergy.com, there’s the healing space, and that’s actually written there.
Angel Morgan: And you can actually get it from there as well.
Gissele: Oh, that’s really cool.
Angel Morgan: Yeah. I appreciate that. Yeah, so that’s with anything, and I do that actually for home. So let’s say you have a bunch of antiques right now. You don’t wanna go one by one. Yeah. Okay? So place your hands on the wall of your home.
Angel Morgan: I invoke the light of the God within this home and all within it, and all of its property is a clear and perfect channel. Light is its guide. The words are important. Make them yours. Okay, love it. So that’s a very simple ener- Everybody thinks it has to be big ceremony, and you have to do all this.
Angel Morgan: No.
Gissele: Sage, yeah.
Angel Morgan: Yeah. Yeah. Sage is great. If you [00:38:00] wanna do it that way, you can do it that way, too. But for me, I like to keep it simple. I travel, right? That’s true. So I have to have quick things in my pocket for to… someone said, “Maybe you should write a book on all these little quick things that you do.”
Angel Morgan: I’m like, “Oh, that’s not a bad idea.” Pretty cool, yeah … but yeah. It’s really I l- and I’m Gemini, I’m fast. So yes, I love to sit with my candles. Yes, I love to sit with my sage. Yes, I do things, but in the same token I really prefer to just smack.
Angel Morgan: Okay?
Gissele: Love it.
Angel Morgan: Yeah.
Gissele: So what about dragons? And the reason why I ask this question is one time I was in meditation and I had something called, I looked it up. I don’t know if it’s accurate. Yes. So it was a, a half horse, half dragon. So I was meditating. It came. It didn’t really say anything. I just saw it, and then I was like, “Oh, that’s weird.”
Gissele: And then I looked it up later on. I think it’s called a, a longma? I don’t know.
Angel Morgan: I’ve never particularly heard of that. However… Yeah, Lung Ma. Lung Ma. Yeah, it’s like- A dragon horse … a Chinese…
Gissele: Yeah. See? Yeah, and I
Angel Morgan: didn’t I didn’t- Oh, yes. Okay. Yeah. Yeah I know [00:39:00] what these are now. Yes. Yes. Spirit warriors ride them.
Angel Morgan: Spirit warriors. Oh, what does that mean? So if a warrior has passed on, an ancient spirit has, has- Oh, okay … this becomes their steed. Yeah. Oh, okay Odin in the Norse mythology, he has the eight-legged horse, which I can never say the name, so I don’t want to insult anyone. Yeah. But he has his eight-legged horse.
Angel Morgan: So this is their version of that. So that shows that you’re a warrior. You’ve been given a, a dragon horse, which is amazing. One of the things I would really recommend doing, I just saw this, is go back into meditation and ask who, what, when, where, why. Who are you? How do we work together? Why did you choose me?
Angel Morgan: What’s our history together?
Gissele: Oh, I’ll try, but sometimes I don’t hear anything.
Angel Morgan: You don’t have to hear it. Am I too desperate? You can feel it.
Gissele: I’m just like, I’m like, “Why aren’t you talking to me?” Sometimes
Angel Morgan: I sit- that’s because you’re trying … and I will
Gissele: sit and I’m like, “Do I have to sit here for hours?”
Gissele: Because I’m not hearing anything. And then other
Angel Morgan: times- No, because you’re trying to- … just random stuff comes. Yeah, you’re expe- you have expectations.
Gissele: I
Angel Morgan: do. So the second you drop the expectation, the second you don’t want to hear, [00:40:00] expect nothing, that’s when everything comes. And don’t expect it as a sound.
Angel Morgan: It might come as a feeling. Yeah. It might come as a vision. True. It might come as a thought. It might come as a color.
Angel Morgan: Right? True, yeah. Because we’re conditioned to believe that we need… what is the one thing everybody wants? “Oh, I wanna see a ghost. I wanna see a ghost.” So they go into meditation trying to see the ghost-
Angel Morgan: and not realizing there are different… Yeah, exactly, right? Oh my God, I was in- There are different ways of seeing.
Gissele: I was in meditation one time, and I felt very clearly an entity was coming forward. Yeah. And I was like no.” And he co- I could feel it back away. And then since then I’ve been like, “Oh, no, come back.
Gissele: My bad.”
Angel Morgan: Yeah. Yeah, right? “Oh,
Gissele: Come back.” Nothing. The ghost
Angel Morgan: me now It’s unnerving at first The ghost
Gissele: has ghosted me
Angel Morgan: Yeah, the ghost has ghosted… I love that.
Angel Morgan: I had a mentor because I came into this because I found this little store in Newmarket.
Angel Morgan: It was a witching family that really embraced me. And she used to say all the time two things: one, one foot in this s- world and one foot in the other. Always stay grounded in who you are. But the other thing she [00:41:00] always used to say is, “Oh, you know what? One day you’ll be old and jaded like me.” And when I was younger I was like no, I wanna see the ghost.
Angel Morgan: I wanna do this.” And now here I am 30 years later, I’m like, “Yeah, okay, it’s 3:00 in the morning. Go away.” Yeah. Yeah, there’s another ghost. “Connect with this,” whatever, yeah, that’s been my experience. But I am. I’m old and jaded now. But the reality is you get used to it, right?
Angel Morgan: And it’s not that it’s… Thank you. One of the things they showed me is that ghost is still coming to you, that spirit is still coming to you, but you asked not to see it, so now it’s coming to you. Be open to how it may feel, how it may… that kind of thing. So remember that reading, connecting is not just about sight.
Angel Morgan: It’s not about the six physical sense, or the six, the five physical senses. It’s about the five psychic senses, right? You’re hearing on the other side, you’re seeing on the other side, but feel is our first line of defense. When we hone that ability, the others will open up on their own.
Gissele: Yeah. Oh, thank you for that.
Gissele: I really
Angel Morgan: Play with it Yeah And dragons are big right now. Dragons, it is the time of the dragon. Yeah … more people are seeing them, more people are [00:42:00] experiencing them. In fact, when I was in New Orleans, I was not only given a second dragon, when I’ve had a dragon since I was a little girl, his name is Simeon, beautiful white and gold dragon.
Angel Morgan: So here I am, I’m being opened up to dragons because of this particular ceremony that I went to. So don’t I go to this store, and I’ve never seen one before. There’s a plastic white and gold dragon. And then I go to this place to adopt this doll, and there’s this glass white and gold dragon. I said I want this white and gold dragon.”
Angel Morgan: And she goes, “No, it’s broken. I’m not g- I can’t sell it to you.” I said how much?” And she goes, “I can’t sell it.” I said, “How much?” “All right, $10.” And I said, “All right, cool.” So then various circumstances happen and she wraps it up and she goes, “Here.” And I’m like, “Okay, here’s my $10.” And she goes, “Here.”
Angel Morgan: So now Simeon has a casing. Difference between a haunting and a housing. Okay? Yeah. So you have items that are haunted, items that have found homes or what have you, but then you also have housings, and these are things that you create, like your uncle, right? He created a house for her. For this- Yeah
Angel Morgan: for this [00:43:00] skull woman. Yeah. Yeah. And the spirit now has somewhere to come and land when it wants to work with you.
Gissele: Wonder if my great uncle was, psychic or something. Oh, you’re Peruvian,
Angel Morgan: dude. ‘
Gissele: Cause he communicated with the- Yeah … right? And we were all like that’s weird.”
Angel Morgan: Yeah. But you know what? But yeah, I think he was- You’re Peruvian. The magics there are so deep. So deep. Yeah, he was connected. Absolutely, or else he wouldn’t have brought the skull home.
Gissele: Yeah, and then done all the… And then tried to steal from the same… He brings much shame to the family.
Angel Morgan: That’s too funny.
Angel Morgan: That’s too funny. Oh my gosh.
Angel Morgan: if, in our home, it’s if I say, “Don’t touch something,” nobody dares go near it. Nobody dares go… I always say in our family we have a saying if I’m… if mommy is not worried, if I’m not worried, don’t worry.
Angel Morgan: If I’m worried, run. Run. Ooh. So-
Gissele: Yeah, so what do you do when negative entities show up? Like, how do you manage that?
Angel Morgan: This is a great
Gissele: question. ‘ Cause I would be worried about yeah, I’m… Like, how do I know I’m bringing the good ones versus the ones that maybe are- Yeah
Gissele: I don’t believe anything is hateful on purpose, it’s just, sad
Angel Morgan: or whatever. They are. They’re made the way… That’s a very aware [00:44:00] thing to say, because, lower energies are made lower energies, right? We do have those energies of cruel, nasty people who die and keep that energy, right?
Angel Morgan: We’ve got serial killers and stuff like that. But for the most part, demons are made demons. They don’t even know. They’re just, they are what they are. Like an angel is made an angel. And one of the things that, that I have a friend, a Romanian exorcist who’s a healer, and he has always taught me, because I was one of those people, you go in, you get rid of it.
Angel Morgan: If it’s a lower energy, you’re in, you’re done. You’re gone. And I’ve learned the skills to do that to recognize them. That’s actually one of my unfortunate gifts, is to be able to recognize those kinds of things. But for the most part, he taught me, he goes, “Some lower energies and entities are looking for redemption.”
Angel Morgan: So a fallen angel might be looking for redemption. Now, some cultures don’t believe that. The Catholic culture, had a long talk with Father Bailey, doesn’t believe that. They made their choice, they’re there, there’s no getting out. But from my experiences, I have experienced something different.
Angel Morgan: I believe hell is a prison with its gate open. You take [00:45:00] accountability, the doors of heaven open for you, right? I truly believe that there are those… and so my friend Joe will give them, like I do now, will give them a choice. “Listen, if you’re looking for redemption, if that’s why you’re here, I’ll help you.
Angel Morgan: I can do that. But if not, sorry, I’m gonna send you where you don’t wanna go, right? I’m gonna take care of you.” And so yeah, so how do we recognize? You’ll know, especially if it’s in your home, things will change. A once peaceful home, all of a sudden people are getting sick, you’re nauseous, people are angry, fights are happening that shouldn’t be happening, right?
Angel Morgan: All of a sudden, the animals are responding. Animals are always my first line of defense. I have, in the back of my home, a sacred space that was created for me, and just recently when I came back from New Orleans, I was taught how to create a space for spirits to come play. And I thought, “Okay, that’s really cool.”
Angel Morgan: And my golden doodle, who’s very sensitive, usually she goes, she does two times around in the backyard, right? And then she comes and she plays with me. Just recently after I built this, she goes to the bayou, we call it [00:46:00] the bayou ’cause that’s what it looks like, swamp area. And she goes and she sits, and she’s looking, and she’s looking.
Angel Morgan: And my partner turns around, he goes, “Oh yeah, it’s probably an animal back.” I’m like, “No. If it’s an animal, she’s gonna go get it,” right? And then she kinda looked at me and she came back, and I’m like, “I did my job.” I created space, right? And I love that because that’s the other thing too. I’ve set my house so that only those spirits who are welcoming, who can encourage our lives, who can work with us, are allowed on our land, right?
Angel Morgan: Like ancestors. Everyone else is not welcome. And anybody can do that. You clear the space, “I invoke the light of the God within this property and everybody in it. I clear and perfect channel.” And then you ask, you pray, “I ask and give permission to all those of the light, place protection around my home,” Archangel Michael, whoever you work with, however you wanna work, right?
Angel Morgan: So that’s a big thing.
Gissele: Yeah. I love that you said that, and I also… It’s so funny, I… you know that I’ve shared my story with you that I’ve had my dog named Baron [00:47:00] who crossed over a couple years ago.
Gissele: And my husband and I and his sister would go to this one lady who did a lot of energy stuff.
Gissele: Her name was Jean And when she first came into my house, I’ve never seen my dog react in the way- … that he did. He c- he, it was so weird. And then Jean said, “Oh, no, that’s just my guide that, you know- Yeah … he’s, he can feel all the- He’s not
Angel Morgan: looking at me, he’s looking at my guide.
Gissele: Yes. He sees it.
Gissele: Yeah. But he his reaction was… I’ve never seen… It’s a mix- Yeah … between a growl and scared, and he didn’t know what to do with himself. And I was like, “Oh my God, I’ve never seen him react this way.” Yep. So
Angel Morgan: it’s
Gissele: so funny that you’re mentioning animals.
Angel Morgan: I was transporting a doll that belonged to someone else.
Angel Morgan: Did not have a bad entity in it, but it was a very well-known, very celebrated doll in Toronto. And so I was bringing it home, and I stopped at my friend’s place for the night. And what was really interesting is when I brought this into the house because she wanted to see it. Her husband’s like, “
Angel Morgan: No, I don’t wanna touch it.
Angel Morgan: I don’t wanna be… Or…” Yeah.
Angel Morgan: Yeah. She was just like, “Okay, she’s Thega, right? So she’s Italian Witch. She’s okay with this.” [00:48:00] I brought it in. Yeah. Her dog, Sadie, came over and kinda, “Oh,” and really had this affection towards this stuff, but kept going back, kept going forward, kept going back.
Angel Morgan: And so we played a game, and I said to the doll, I said, “Okay, make yourself known to Sadie.” Sadie would back up. And I’m like, “Okay, go back.” And Sadie would come and explore. “Okay, come on out.” S- Sadie would go back. Oh, cool. Yeah. And I love that because animals are very sensitive to this on a different level.
Angel Morgan: We ourselves are mammals, right? Yeah. But because we’re still reconnecting from the disconnect we’ve had for so many thousands of years, we’re not quite at that same level, but we’re getting back there. We’re seeing more and more people who are sensitive, more and more people who are looking for people like me to kinda go, “What is this?
Angel Morgan: What am I feeling? What am I sensing?” I even have a mentoring program now. I had to put it in because because people are starting to awaken. They’re starting to, create that. And it’s funny because it just made me… You’re talking about your uncle and how gifted he was. So are you.
Angel Morgan: Look at what you’ve… What… Look at what [00:49:00] you’ve experienced i- through your meditations. I felt it. I knew it was coming. Went, “Oh, hell no,” right? So you yourself and your family are very powerful. But we all have different different skills and abilities, and that’s my job. Identify that skill, identify that ability, and then how do we hone that?
Angel Morgan: I don’t develop people’s psychic abilities, psychic development. I don’t do that. I give you confidence in your abilities. Because every single time you experience an ability, it gives you confidence. It validates that this is real, right? So what I’m doing is I’m giving you things to help you to validate yourself and what you’re, what you have naturally.
Gissele: Love that. I was just thinking about I remember I did a past life regression because I was trying to get over my fear of flight, which I no longer have. But that- … actually was- Good … a d- totally different thing. I ended up going into a life where I got burned as a witch, but I wasn’t- … a witch.
Gissele: Apparently, I was, like, some p- pimply student that was… Like, there was a lady who was a healer- Yeah … and I was a [00:50:00] student of this lady, and she used to use herbs or whatever, and we both got burned as witches. Yeah. And so having that history, I think, sometimes makes us go I don’t wanna have anything to do with any of
Angel Morgan: that.”
Angel Morgan: Exactly. It’s definitely the trauma of what we go through that we carry, because I know people who have actually witnessed burnings in the 1600s. I had a woman come to me, she’s terrified of fire really scared of this stuff.
Angel Morgan: And when we went into her Akashic records, which is just a different way of getting into the past lives I could see that she was this little child, and she was witnessing this. And the thing is that was their concert, though. That was their rock concert-
Angel Morgan: So this is what they would do for fun. And so they would go and witness this, and also as an educational tool. It’s like look what will happen if you get into witchcraft, if you make a pact with the devil.” And so this child witnessed this and has carried it with her throughout time, right?
Angel Morgan: And this is what we do. And yeah, mostly you have to realize that in the burning times in Europe [00:51:00] and in the States and wherever this did happen, this atrocity happened, it was usually midwives. It usually was women- Women … who were alone of wealth, right? The- these people-
Angel Morgan: …
Angel Morgan: Were doctors, religious people, government.
Angel Morgan: They didn’t like that idea. So all of a sudden, the healers were using witchcraft because it’s not the new technologies or it’s not, you don’t align. It’s based in fear. How do you keep your congregation in line, right? And every culture has this, I think Catholicism, Christianity, I think it’s beautiful.
Angel Morgan: I know a lot of people go, “
Angel Morgan: Oh, it’s horrible. It’s a religion.”
Angel Morgan: I don’t. I think there are really beautiful things about every religion, about every culture. And I think that’s kinda what makes me different, too, because I love skeptics and non-believers because I was one. I didn’t believe. I was raised to believe that this doesn’t exist.
Angel Morgan: These are ghost stories. So I respect the skeptic. I respect the non-believer. I always come to the table with the theory of, “Hey, I’m here to learn, not [00:52:00] convert.”
Angel Morgan: Yeah. And that’s what I love about you, the fact that you’re willing to love all things, even the things that seem- Yeah … unlovable, right? People are afraid of ghosts, people are afraid of haunted items, But there’s a different perspective we can take, and that’s my job, is how do we look at this from a different perspective, right? It’s very interesting. I did a podcast recently and we talked about the left-hand path and black magic, and I got these comments, “She doesn’t really understand the left-hand path and what it is,” because I was talking very much about protecting from the left-hand path and the darknesses and where I started from because of something I fell into.
Angel Morgan: But the reality is there is another side to the left-hand path where it’s about shadow work, and it’s about r- really seeing ourselves as our own divine god, right? But the reality is where does that take you, right? You have choices to make. So again, everything has unique perspectives from whatever lens you’re looking at it from.
Angel Morgan: If you walk the left-hand path, it’s a very positive path. If you don’t walk the left-hand [00:53:00] path it can become very scary and it can be very daunting and, we look at that kind of thing, the dark witches and the dark stuff. But there are different perspectives and different angles on that, which I didn’t get to touch on because we only had so much time.
Gissele: So what’s the left-hand path? And the reason why I’m asking this question is because I’m a left-handed… I was a left-handed mirror writer. I used to write backwards, right? And I can still- Yeah … do it when I… but I was also at a school that runs in religious-
Gissele: They thought I was possessed because I was a left-handed mirror writer, and so they t- Yeah … they told my parents to go into a see a psychologist, and then my parents took me, and they’re like, “Oh, there’s nothing wrong with her.”
Angel Morgan: Good
Gissele: for them. But I remember writing and reading backwards too. I always wanted to read from the back to the front.
Angel Morgan: That actually shows that you’re a gifted spirit walker, okay? That means that you do have abilities, because you can see on the other side. The other side is mirrored, right? So when we talk about the other side, think of a mirror, right?
Angel Morgan: Everything is backwards on the other side- Oh, that is so cool … so everything is the other way. I never thought about that. That’s- It’s the other way, so that means you can… Yeah, so that means you can walk both worlds effortlessly in [00:54:00] this physical plane, right?
Angel Morgan: Sorry? If I wasn’t so afraid. If you weren’t so afraid. Yeah, but you know what? I find that the people who are the most gifted are the ones who are the most afraid at first, because it’s huge. This is huge. This isn’t a small ability that we have, and it’s a responsibility, right? And if you were to go back in your past lives, like you said, there’s the witchcraft, there’s this kind of thing, there are traumas that may be attached to it, right?
Angel Morgan: And plus, there’s also stigma. There’s conditioning of what we grew up with. There’s so much involved. But once we get past that, then we shine. We really shine. But in Europe, what they used to do with left-handed children was they would tie their left hand behind their back and train it out of them, right?
Angel Morgan: They would train it out of them.
Gissele: my mom is a left-hander, and she had to do that too, so now she’s- Yeah … ambidextrous, ’cause they wouldn’t- Yeah … let her write with her left hand.
Angel Morgan: Yeah. So for me, it’s very interesting, because I’m ambidextrous with sports. I can play baseball.
Angel Morgan: I can sword wield a sword left-handed as well. So I think little traits of that are in me, but I’m not a [00:55:00] lefty. A true lefty is usually very psychic, very spi- spiritual, very… But the left-hand path, again, this is where the fear comes from, right hand of God- So if you sit to the- Oh … right hand of God, what is the left?
Angel Morgan: And I know it goes further than that, so if anybody comments that I don’t know what I’m talking about or- … go do your homework. We only have so much time to talk about this, okay? So- … but the reality is when we talk about the left-hand path, we’re talking about darker works or the opposition of the light is the darkness.
Angel Morgan: That’s all we’re talking about, really truthfully. But the left-hand path, too, is very ornate for me, in my experiences. This is more high magic. This is where temple magic comes in when you see the guys with the robes and the chalices and all that. That’s high magic. And that can err on, depending on what it is, if you go deep enough, it can err on black magic.
Angel Morgan: But it’s- … not necessarily used that way. The left-hand path normally will be considered people who are working black magic or dark magic or in the shadow world or in the [00:56:00] underworld. Where there is the light, this is just the dark path, right? Doesn’t mean it’s Satanic, doesn’t mean it’s that, but it definitely means it’s a deeper jump into the subconscious world.
Gissele: Oh.
Gissele: I could talk to you literally all day. Thank you.
Angel Morgan: Ah, okay. And again- cool … all of the things I say are very on the surface. I always encourage people, go do more homework, because- … what I’m here to educate is to open the door. When you step through the door, that’s a rabbit hole, people.
Angel Morgan: Trust me, it is a rabbit hole.
Gissele: Very cool. So I’m going to New Orleans 2027, Hopefully 2027, fingers crossed that it’s, that’s when it happens. ‘Cause I’m working on a docuseries on extreme extraordinary stories of compassion. And there’s a, a lady that lives out of New Orleans.
Gissele: What do you recommend I visit in terms of the best energies to,
Angel Morgan: depends on what you’re looking for. I, see, for me- Everywhere in New Orleans has its own energy that can be construed as light or dark. If you go [00:57:00] into Voodoo Authentica, which is one of my favorite places to go this is truly what voodoo is for me because of the feel in there, the people in there.
Angel Morgan: It’s just, it’s beautiful. It’s really beautiful. And what’s really funny is no matter where you go, you might say, “Oh, that’s a voodoo practitioner ’cause they work there,” but I guarantee you there’s gonna be layers to that person, right? Like Papa Z’Har, who works there, he is, He works voodoo, but he’s also vampire, right?
Angel Morgan: So th- you’re, you never know what you’re gonna get. One of my favorite places to go now is obviously the Haunted Sax, S-A-X. The dolls there, they’re all the haunted dolls. That’s where I adopted Maya, and that’s beautiful. Those two, oh my gosh. They’re the boozy witch and the bougie witch, and they are so lovely.
Angel Morgan: I really do recommend also going on the Creole Queen which is the ship there, because that will take you down the Mississippi, and feeling the energies of the water, because that’s what New [00:58:00] Orleans is, right? They’re water people. This is water and fire, and water and fire work together. They’re one and the same.
Angel Morgan: I definitely would recommend Voodoo Authentica. I definitely recommend that pla- Haunted Sax. Hands of Fates if you really want a witchy store. I love Hands of Fate. I love Hex as well. Hex is run by the creators of Hexfest, which is Christian Day and his husband Brian.
Angel Morgan: Yeah, so there are so many places. If you’re going to really want to, and this is for anybody out there, really feel the vibe of the different cultures, African, Irish, French, all the… French Quarter. You gotta stay in the French Quarter. Yeah. The Andrew Jackson Hotel is, to me, one of the most haunted.
Angel Morgan: That’s also where the paranormal investigative team works out of paranormal s- the N- New Orleans Paranormal Society. I believe they do Wednesdays through Sundays, so if you’re going down there, you can always hop on one of their tours But when I went to the Andrew Jackson, I actually wasn’t supposed to stay there, and then things at the end changed and I ended up at the Andrew Jackson the very first time I was [00:59:00] there.
Angel Morgan: And I remember, because I always protect my hotel room, and I was doing a cleansing, and this spirit comes up to me and he starts yelling at me. I said, “Dude, if you don’t back off, I’m gonna clear this whole hotel. That is what I’m gonna do.” Only to find out- That’s not my magic. That’s right, man. Don’t mess with me.
Angel Morgan: There you go. And so only to find out the Wednesday following… So I had an intention going to New Orleans, and I met someone there, the concierge, and he goes, “Whatever you’ve planned, forget it.” Within the hour, he had me meeting all of these esoterics, and this paranormal team was one of them that came through the Andrew Jackson.
Angel Morgan: And so I went on their tour only to find out that this was Master. Master protects the children at, in the Andrew Jackson Hotel who died at the orphanage that was burnt, because the Andrew Jackson was an orphanage before.
Angel Morgan: Wow.
Angel Morgan: So of course, there was that, “Oops,” right? And of course, I made offerings to, “I’m really sorry.
Angel Morgan: I didn’t realize what I was doing,” and that actually made me a little bit more sensitive, too, after that. So [01:00:00] New Orleans is teeming with amazing things. One, one of the ones that I really love, because, criminology is also a very big part of my life, was the Museum of Death And the Museum of Death, which is one that not a lot of people know about it talks about the different serial killers, and they actually have there the psych evaluations of Ed Gein and Jeffrey Dahmer, which I found absolutely fascinating.
Angel Morgan: Wow. And there was this movie they were playing, and I stayed there for probably about a half an hour on all these Hollywood actors, actresses knowns and unknowns, and how they died and how, the mafia was involved, the criminals were… how that all happened. It’s fascinating, just fascinating.
Angel Morgan: So you have all of these different energies. I remember the first time I went to New Orleans, I got off the the plane, I f- it me like a ton of… And I went, “Oh, hell no,” and I almost went right back on the plane. Yeah. This time around, two years later, because I have grown because of that experience, boom, all of a [01:01:00] sudden it’s home.
Angel Morgan: It feels like ceremony 24/7, right? It’s beautiful. And yeah, so I think you going down to New Orleans, at first may be a little unnerving-
Angel Morgan: Yeah …
Angel Morgan: but I think would be really great. For you, I would even go to the Paracon, because that’s where you’re gonna meet all the different cultures and all the different heads, and go to the different panels, and ask your questions of compassion, right?
Angel Morgan: And they will answer you. They’re incredible. I asked stupid questions and they were answering me, asking… I was asking vampires- That’s amazing … “How do you feel about the TV show Lestat?” They’re like- … “We love them.” It’s okay.
Gissele: That’s, those are the kind of questions I would ask.
Gissele: I freaking love that show.
Angel Morgan: Me too.
Gissele: I’m also re-watching, I’m also re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Angel Morgan: Oh my
Gissele: God. Ooh.
Angel Morgan: I love that.
Gissele: Anyways, me too.
Angel Morgan: Yeah. I’m obsessed with that. Last
Gissele: question. Where can people find you? Where can they work with you? And- do please come back on the show again. Oh,
Angel Morgan: absolutely.
Angel Morgan: I loved having you. And we’re gonna have you, and we’re gonna have you on my show too. We’re gonna have you on my show, so I’m really excited about that. Oh,
Gissele: that’d be great. I’m having so much fun. Oh, no I just love talking to you. So where can people find you? Where [01:02:00] can they work with you? What do you wanna share with the audience?
Gissele: Sure.
Angel Morgan: They can find me at raisingenergy.com. That is my catch-all website. And that’s where you can find my blog, which talks more about this stuff. I have mentoring sessions. I have readings for people and pets. It’s just everything. You wanna know more about me, it will talk about the media and press that I do.
Angel Morgan: And as soon as this comes out I will obviously put this on my website too. So you can really find everything about me at raisingenergy.com. I have Instagram, I have all that kind of stuff. Again, you can catch it all through that site. I’m so grateful to be here. I love who you are. I love this show.
Angel Morgan: Me too. I love the premise of it.
Gissele: Me too. Love it. I love you so much. I don’t know, as soon as I met you, I was like, “I just love her.” I love I don’t know why I love her, but I do. I know. I feel the
Angel Morgan: same way. I love
Gissele: her. I feel the same way. Me too. We’re
Angel Morgan: vibing.
Gissele: Yeah. Yeah, we definitely vibing. And I’m so grateful for another amazing episode with you, and thank you for all those who tuned in.
Gissele: If you love this episode, please share it far and wide, and stay tuned for another episode of Love [01:03:00] and Compassion Podcast with Gissele. See you soon
